Landscapes emerge as recurring motifs, framed to exist in the liminal space between here and there. Love forgotten and love rediscovered mirror the physical act of stitchinggestures that hold both the past and the presence of something new. In Caflischs Words: i love making connections from past to present. this collection of works covers snippets of the past three years in my studio, interweaving and intersecting. there is a lot of distance thats occurred over that period of time, newly created and ever-present. love thats been forgotten and new love found; but a common through-line of materiality, landscape, always framed to show something which is neither here or there but here and there.
