Aurifil 40wt 2-ply 100% Cotton Thread is slightly thicker than the 50wt thread which makes it ideal for sewing bags, toys or dolls, garments, or when a more defined topstitching or quilting pattern is desired. It also works well for Hand Piecing, Bobbin and Machine Lace, Machine Applique, Machine Embroidery, and domestic and longarm Machine Quilting.
Recommended Needle size is an 80/12 Microtex/Sharp, Topstitch, Universal, or Denim Needle. Use 40wt or 50wt thread in the bobbin.
